In this early morning outdoor workshop, we explore how to identify common birds by sound in one of London's wildest parks.
The ‘walkshop’ includes:
Before the day, step-by-step audio lessons on how to tell five key species by ear
A gentle 2.5-hour walk with frequent stops around the parkland, watersides and woodland of Wimbledon Common.
Potential species encountered will include Firecrest, Grey Wagtail, Mistle Thrush, Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Tawny Owl, Goldcrest, Green Woodpecker and Stock Dove.
A sit-down Q&A session to end the morning (with optional refreshments).
